Representing a client in dealing with the seizure of cryptocurrency mining machines by the customs administration in Paraguay

15.1.2025

ARROWS provided legal support to a client in connection with the complicated situation of seized cryptocurrency mining machines that were intercepted by customs at the Paraguayan border.

The machines were intended to operate in a hosting center and their seizure resulted in the inability to mine cryptocurrency and send it to the owners of the facility, disrupting the business operations of the client and its customers.

The legal assistance included intensive communication with customs authorities in Paraguay, analysis of international trade regulations and customs regulations in order to find an effective strategy to return the machines to operation. Emphasis was placed on minimizing financial losses and quickly resuming cryptocurrency mining operations.

The team was led by Mgr. Vojtěch Sucharda, an attorney specializing in intellectual property law and international litigation, whose experience in IT and digital asset regulation was key to the effective resolution of the situation. JUDr. Zuzana Liškařová, who focuses on international commercial law and assists clients with cross-border legal issues, was also involved in the case.

Thanks to the meticulous work of our colleagues, a legal solution was found that allowed the client and its customers to resume operation of the mining machinery, minimize damages and ensure the continuation of their business activities.
