Successful representation of an investor in the largest bankruptcy proceedings in the history of the Czech Republic

ARROWS represented a client who had invested tens of millions of crowns in bonds; after the issuer's insolvency, the client found itself among the creditors in bankruptcy proceedings involving claims worth approximately CZK 23 billion, making it the largest bankruptcy case in the modern history of the Czech Republic.

The legal representation included negotiations with the insolvency administrator, coordination with other creditors and active participation in court proceedings on the validity of the claims and the possibilities of their satisfaction. The legal services also included legal risk analysis and preparation of strategic documents to protect the client's investments.

The team was led by Mgr. Petr Valent, LL.M., partner and attorney specializing in commercial law, restructuring and investment transactions. Thanks to his experience in international transactions and insolvencies, he was able to ensure effective protection of the client's interests in this extremely complex proceeding.
