Luděk Plachký is an attorney at law in České Budějovice with a focus on family, inheritance, contract and criminal law. He also regularly represents clients in damages and non-pecuniary injury cases. A common part of his practice is representing clients before courts, authorities and the police.

When setting a strategy for resolving a case with a client, Luděk emphasizes consideration of the economic and reputational impact on the client, as well as maintaining the client's psychological comfort as much as possible

He is a member of the ARROWS AI team, where he focuses on copyright and data protection aspects of the use of artificial intelligence.

For clients, he most frequently handles:

  • relationship or marriage breakdown
  • marital property settlement
  • custody and access to children
  • establishing, reducing and increasing child and spousal support
  • legal preparation for the departure of a family member
  • compensation for damages and non-pecuniary loss
  • purchase and sale of real estate
  • settlement of community property
  • drafting of supplier contracts (including consumer contracts) and commercial terms and conditions
  • setting up data protection policies (GDPR)
  • debt recovery

Criminal law:

  • defending the accused (in particular violent and financial crime)
  • representation of the victim
  • legal assistance to witnesses
  • recovery of compensation for unlawful prosecution
  • applications for conditional release, conditional remission of the remainder of a prison sentence, inter-prison transfers, suspension of sentences, expungement of convictions.

Luděk graduated from the Faculty of Law at Palacký University in Olomouc, and spent part of his studies at the University of Naples in Paphos (Cyprus) in a programme focused on management and economics. In addition to advocacy, Luděk gained valuable work experience at the Ministry of Finance and in the judiciary.
