During a health and safety inspection at the client’s manufacturing facility, it was necessary to respond quickly to the regional labor inspectorate’s findings while preventing minor deficiencies from escalating into penalty proceedings that could impact the company’s operations. ARROWS took over the legal coordination of the case, evaluated the inspection findings, and proposed specific corrective measures. The result was successfully navigating the inspection without significant financial penalties and establishing a more transparent OSH system for the future.

The audit focused primarily on employee training records, occupational risk assessments, internal documentation, and the definition of managerial responsibilities. In the initial phase, ARROWS distinguished between formal deficiencies and actual legal risks and provided the client with a clear plan of action for addressing each finding. The chosen approach was not defense at all costs, but a combination of prompt corrective action where the criticism was justified and factual legal arguments where the inspection authority’s conclusions did not correspond to the actual situation. This approach was most suitable for the client because it allowed the company to demonstrate cooperation without unnecessarily accepting responsibility for conclusions that could be legally contested.
In addition to communicating with the Labor Inspectorate, ARROWS prepared a response to the audit findings, helped supplement missing documentation, and revised internal processes for employee training, risk registration, and procedures for workplace accidents. The solution also included setting up a practical monitoring mechanism for HR and operational management to ensure that similar shortcomings would not recur during the next inspection. The inspection was subsequently closed without any major disruption to the client’s operations and without significant penalties; at the same time, the company gained a functional OSH framework that better reflects the day-to-day reality of its operations
