JUDr. Markéta Vaňasová

Markéta Vaňasová is an attorney focusing mainly on employment law, civil litigation, and the related commercial and contract agenda. She helps employers with day-to-day employment law issues as well as more complex situations – from setting up contracts and internal rules to remuneration, termination of employment, and litigation. In addition, she represents clients in civil disputes and provides support in their regular contractual and corporate agenda.

Employment law for employers

Markéta has been practicing employment law for more than ten years. She handles a comprehensive employment law agenda for clients, particularly employment and management contracts, remuneration systems, internal regulations, agency employment, changes in working conditions, and termination of employment.

She also assists in situations where a routine HR agenda grows into a more complex problem – for example, during organizational changes, employee dismissals, negotiations with trade unions, or when preparing a strategy for an employment dispute.

Experience directly from a large employer's environment

For six years, she worked as an in-house counsel for Tesco Stores ČR, where she provided employment law support for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In addition to daily support for HR and management, she was responsible for internal regulations, contractual documentation, termination of employment, negotiations with trade unions, and representing the employer in court disputes.

Thanks to this experience, she is familiar with the employment law agenda not only from the perspective of an external attorney but also from the viewpoint of a company that must actually implement legal recommendations into its operations. She therefore offers clients solutions that are legally sound and at the same time practically applicable for HR, payroll accountants, and management.

Civil litigation, contracts, and other agenda

Besides employment law, Markéta also focuses on civil law and civil litigation. She represents clients in various types of disputes and helps them not only during the court proceedings themselves but also in assessing risks and setting a strategy before they even begin.

Her practice also includes contractual and basic corporate agenda, which allows her to perceive employment law issues in the broader context of a company's operations and its business relationships.

She has also long been involved in family law and related court disputes.

Markéta is fluent in and also works in Spanish, which enables her to provide legal support to Spanish-speaking clients and to participate in matters with a Spanish language overlap.

Professional education

Markéta regularly lectures for the ANAG publishing house and is a member of the Czech Employment Lawyers Association, the European Employment Lawyers Association, and the Union of Family Lawyers.
