Successful Reversal of Rejected Trademark

The law firm ARROWS provided the client with comprehensive legal support in addressing the rejection of a trademark application by the IPO (Industrial Property Office). Based on a detailed analysis of the reasons for the rejection, we developed a strategy that effectively defended the brand rights. The client thus received a clear procedural plan on how to contest the decision and pave the way for reconsideration or registration.

The ARROWS team ensured legal services including the analysis of the IPO decision, evaluation of absolute and relative grounds for rejection, and proposal of an optimal defense strategy, including the possibility of filing a review or appeal. We prepared detailed arguments reflecting the requirements of Czech and European law, assisted with procedural deadlines, evidence materials, and potential proposals for amendment or new application submission. The work also included advice on coexistence, application corrections, acquired distinctiveness, or negotiations with senior rights holders.
