ARROWS lawyers took action against misuse of client's name
Misuse of a client’s name on fake websites should be addressed quickly, because it can damage reputation and falsely suggest an association with content or services the client has never approved. ARROWS prepared cease-and-desist demands, quantified the harm and set a strategy for further enforcement. This article shows how personal rights can be protected online and how to prepare for both out-of-court and court action.
The firm's legal advice included, in particular, the preparation and sending of cease and desist letters to the responsible persons, the quantification and enforcement of claims for compensation for damages, and the setting of the overall procedural strategy. An important part of the representation was strategic advice on the protection of personal rights in the online environment and the preparation of all necessary legal documents for out-of-court and court enforcement of claims.
