Representing a client in the recovery of damages caused by a designer

ARROWS represented its client in a dispute over compensation for damages caused by a designer who not only prepared the project documentation for the reconstruction of a family house, but also subsequently acted as a construction manager.

As a result of the faulty design and improper execution of the work, the structure was overloaded, static problems occurred and the building came to a standstill, with the risk that the house would have to be demolished.

Legal services included preparing and filing a claim, gathering evidence, working with structural experts and developing a legal strategy to prove the designer's liability. The representation also included negotiating with the opposing party to reach an out-of-court settlement that would minimize costs and risks to the client.
