Are you interested in who we have helped recently?
We have set up a process of electronic conclusion of energy supply contracts, thanks to which the energy supplier does without the cooperation with an intermediary and has the whole process of concluding an energy supply contract under its control.
We prepared a bond issue for energy suppliers . The energy supplier was thus given the opportunity to finance the implementation of its new projects in the energy sector other than by accepting and fulfilling the conditions of credit financing by the bank.
We successfully defended our client, an energy intermediary, in proceedings before the ERO against an incorrect assessment of its activities as an aggressive business practice, for which it should have been fined millions of euros in administrative proceedings.
We also represented an energy intermediary in defending against unfair competitive conduct by another intermediary through an internet publication.
We have represented municipalities, towns and their organisations (especially schools) in court proceedings against energy suppliers with whom the energy intermediary Energie pod kontrol o.p.s. entered into supply contracts on behalf of its clients .

Leasing a roof for a photovoltaic installation for 20+ years – key contractual provisions
A photovoltaic operator offers you a long-term lease of your warehouse roof, usually for twenty years or more. The offer looks simple: you lease the space, they build the power plant, and you collect the rent. Without the right contract, however, you risk a dispute over the ownership of the panels and the termination of the lease by a new owner of the building. The Czech legal team at ARROWS law firm will draft the contract so that these risks are borne by the party who should bear them.

EU Greenwashing Rules
If you use words like "eco" or "sustainable" on packaging or in ads, you must be able to back them up with evidence – a misleading environmental claim already carries a fine of up to 5 million CZK today. The new EU rules also ban claiming "carbon neutrality" based on buying offsets; in Czechia they will apply only once the amendment, passed by the Chamber of Deputies on 14 October 2026 and now before the Senate, takes effect. Here's how to set up your green marketing so it holds up to inspection.

EU ETS, ETS2 and CBAM
Starting in 2028, the new ETS2 system will put a carbon price on heating and transport fuels too, but the obligation to buy allowances falls on fuel suppliers, who will pass the cost on to every company through higher energy and fuel prices. Find out how to set up contracts and investments to avoid a sudden cost jump.

Green buildings in the Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic, every new building must meet the nearly zero energy building (NZEB) standard, and without a valid energy performance certificate you risk a fine of up to CZK 200,000 when selling or leasing. The Czech Republic has not yet transposed the stricter European rules on zero-emission buildings (Directive (EU) 2024/1275). We explain what applies today, what is coming and why financing is harder to secure without green certification.

Emissions Allowances and Businesses
Companies with more than 250 employees must file auditor-verified ESG reports from 2026, and inaccurate or misleading emissions data can bring a fine of up to 4% of annual turnover. Find out how ESG reporting connects to the price of emissions allowances and how companies can legally cut their energy costs.

Legal Aspects of Photovoltaic Power Plants (PVPP)
A photovoltaic power plant requires legal preparation ranging from land selection and permitting to connection, financing, and electricity sales. Investors must verify ownership relations, licensing obligations, supplier contracts, and the conditions of any potential subsidies. This article, prepared by our Prague-based legal team, shows how to set up a project, electricity supply agreements, and legal due diligence when purchasing an already prepared or operating PV plant under Czech legislation.

Legal framework for electricity sharing within holding structures and contributory organizations.
Sharing electricity within a holding company or between contributory organizations can reduce costs, but it requires a correctly chosen model, contracts between the involved entities, and a clear allocation key. Free-of-charge transfers of electricity can open up tax risks, and more complex structures need precise setup of registration and financial flows. In this article, you will find out when to use an active customer or an energy community model and what to address contractually.
